On 5 July 2022, the three of us set off for Sweden for the Power Big Meet in Lidköping. When we got the news on the way that our Ford Mustang had been sold, it was obvious that we could start looking for a replacement vehicle now. Frank then discovered this red Chevrolet Corvette C 2 convertible at this immense gathering of exclusively American classic cars. If the price was right, it could be the one. After the owner came back to the vehicle, it became clear during the discussion that this Corvette was within our financial means, so we went for it. After signing the purchase contract, we went back home and 5 days later, with a trailer in tow, we set off again on our journey to Sweden. After the purchase price had been credited to Peter Hedlund's account 3 days later, the Corvette travelled back to Augsburg with us. The result: a few euros less in the bank account, 6000 kilometres more on the clock and a Corvette in the garage.
